GTA V Enhanced Edition: Next-Gen Graphics & New Features Arrive
A New Era for GTA V on PC
Rockstar Games has officially rolled out a significant update for Grand Theft Auto V (GTA V) on PC, bringing it up to par with the latest console versions. Released on March 4, 2025, this free Enhanced Edition revamps the decade-old classic with cutting-edge graphics, new content, and improved performance.
Next-Level Visuals: Ray Tracing and Advanced Rendering
The highlight of this update is the integration of ray-traced global illumination and ambient occlusion, making lighting and shadows appear more natural than ever before. This upgrade breathes new life into Los Santos, enhancing everything from neon-lit cityscapes to sun-drenched highways.
Additionally, Rockstar has introduced NVIDIA DLSS 3 and AMD FSR support, optimizing performance while maintaining high-resolution visuals. This ensures smoother gameplay even at ultra settings, making the update a must-have for PC players.
Expanded Content: New Vehicles and Features
Beyond graphical improvements, the Enhanced Edition unlocks Hao’s Special Works (HSW), a feature previously exclusive to PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S. This adds high-performance modifications for select vehicles, including new additions like the Coil Cyclone II and Imponte Arbiter GT.
The update also introduces wildlife enhancements and a photography challenge, enriching the open world. For new GTA Online players, Rockstar has included a Career Builder feature with a GTA$4,000,000 startup bonus, making it easier to dive into the criminal underworld.

PC players with compatible SSDs can now benefit from DirectStorage support, which dramatically reduces load times, allowing for near-instantaneous transitions between locations.
