Marvel Rivals Season 1.5 Update: New Heroes, Map, and More

The much-anticipated Season 1.5 update for Marvel Rivals is set to launch on Friday, February 21, 2025. This mid-season update will introduce a wave of new content, including two new heroes, a fresh map, and a host of hero-balancing adjustments.

New Heroes: Completing the Fantastic Four

Season 1.5 will see the arrival of the Human Torch (Johnny Storm) and The Thing (Ben Grimm), completing the Fantastic Four roster in Marvel Rivals. Leaks suggest that Human Torch will be a Duelist class hero, focusing on high damage output, while The Thing will be a Vanguard, specializing in tanking damage and disrupting enemies.

While official gameplay details are yet to be released, leaked information hints at the Human Torch’s abilities revolving around fire manipulation, including flamethrower attacks and flight. The Thing, true to his character, appears to possess abilities focused on raw strength and durability, such as seismic slams and rock-based shields.

New Map: Central Park

The update will also introduce a new map, Central Park, to the game. Briefly glimpsed in the Season 1 trailer, this iconic New York landmark is expected to offer a unique battleground with diverse combat opportunities.

Hero Balancing Changes
